On the back of everyone's shirt was a picture of Maggie with each of us. (As Jonathan hadn't met Maggie yet his picture was of him holding a picture of Maggie)
Even though the weekend included the Northwest's famous cold, rainy weather we still managed to get in a good bit of outside time. Sunday we went for a mountain bike ride and then played some tennis with Kennedy, Maggie and Ellie. Sunday evening we made a father's day dinner of chicken, steak and veggie shish kabobs, grilled corn and rosemary potatoes.
Today we got up early and ventured up to Vancouver for Jonathan's first trip to Canada. We answered all of the border control officer's questions correctly and made it across the border without incident. Once we got into Vancouver we went to Stanley Park and had lunch on the water. We then drove to China Town and walked around the shops and through a gorgeous garden. Following our visit in China Town we got back in the car to head home. And after an hour and a half of Anderson driving lost through the city (while the rest of the car was fast asleep) he finally got us back to the border. We had a scary moment when Jonathan tried to intimidate the border control with his sunglasses but luckily they let us through and we made it back to Ferndale.
Now we're back at the house doing some last minute laundry and packing in preparation for our next departure. We plan to leave sometime tonight for our 14 hour drive. We decided to change our itinerary a little and will now be heading to Billings, Montana tonight and then to Keystone, SD to see Mount Rushmore.

Safe travels for the next leg of the trip!
